Better Than Just Statistics: Infiltrating Neighborhoods With Local SEO

But for Tiempo Loans, even after years of sending a bunch of postcards to their target neighborhoods, very few people would wind up at their office.

That is… until they started building up their local SEO.

Here is their story.

Comparing the Numbers

Every week, Tiempo Loans would compare numbers to see how they were doing and if they reached their marks.

One thing that always bothered them was one particular neighborhood.

It was in a part of town that was perfect for their business. A place that had the demographics short term loan companies dream about.

But even after sending postcard after postcard after postcard to that area, they were only getting 1-2 borrowers from there a year!

That’s when Tiempo Loans decided to try something different.

That’s when they decided to try SEO.

Getting Tiempo Loans on the Map

When The Gallas Company started working with Tiempo Loans, it was clear from the get-go that local SEO was the first order of business.

A business like Tiempo Loans, which has a highly-localized customer base, needed to get on the map.

They needed to rank for keywords people were searching for in their city.

To get this, we first had to give their site some necessary SEO fixes.

By working on their on-page SEO, adding schema markups, and publishing three new pages of content, we set their website up to start pulling in local traffic.

We also created individual pages for Tiempo Loans’ six locations. This way, we could throw in even more Schema, and anyone who searched “short term loan” in one of these cities would wind up at the Tiempo Loans website because of this.

Finally, we created a Google My Business profile for Tiempo Loans and got a few citations from around the web for them – further strengthening their local SEO.

With all of that done, we were expecting results to come in eventually. Say, maybe about six months later.

But we never expected how fast it would work.

Results That Matter

Two months after we started working on the Tiempo Loans website, things looked good from a statistical standpoint.

We could see that they were already getting more traffic and more online applications. On our end, that meant that we did a great job.

But we weren’t expecting Tiempo Loans to give us a call with some shocking yet exciting news.

That neighborhood they’ve been trying so hard to reach?

The one that only brought in 2 leads for them in a whole year?

They got a staggering twelve new leads from there in only a month!

For the first time, Tiempo Loans didn’t have to spend on a bunch of postcards that hardly made any progress.

For the first time, Tiempo Loans customers were coming directly to them!
